Pentathlon is a fantastic health and wellbeing programme created for the community. It's designed to be inclusive and covers five sessions, each focusing on different aspects of health. These sessions can be enjoyed separately as standalone events or as a full set, providing a comprehensive approach to improving overall wellbeing.
The sessions aim to offer local communities insights on maintaining and safeguarding overall health and wellbeing while boosting health knowledge. They're led by peers in a simple, easy-to-follow format, creating a secure and trusted environment for learning. The session content is approved by the clinical leaders in South West London who specialise in long-term health conditions.
The programme provides a range of resources suitable for both virtual and face-to-face sessions. These resources are designed to support delivery by non-professionals, yet they also serve as valuable tools for health coaches and similar roles in primary care.
To become a Pentathlon Facilitator, attending the training programme is essential. This training equips individuals to lead the sessions within their communities, contributing to the health and wellbeing of its members.
